Tongan Language Week

Malo e lelei!
To celebrate Tongan Language Week, Alley visited Kea and brought with her some of the special Tongan traditional woven crafts (niu kato, i, kiekie and taovala)

Uheina is showing us her kiekie (traditional skirt) which is mostly worn by women to formal occassions to show respect.  This one is made from pandanus leaves

Tui Group Play

Tui group could not wait to present their play titled " What is it?" to the class.  They have been practising and arranging their role-playing on their own.  Great group work Tui!!  - Look out Peter Jackson!
